A Life Without Wheat?
I can’t say I didn’t know this was coming.
However, it looks rather certain that I am now totally intolerant of gluten. Oh, yay!
This all started around a year ago, when I started having real trouble with white bread and sugary ‘processed’ cereals; I stopped being able to eat them for breakfast because they would turn me into a jittering wreck. Within the last 6 months I have stopped eating them altogether.
It was around that time that I got knocked out with chronic fatigue. At the time I wasn’t entirely sure what this was due to, but thought it was brought on by delayed shock/stress. However, now I’m starting to think my diet may have had a hand in here.
So, got through to Christmas, and this day by day bloat-a-thon kicks off. I thought it was dodgy turkey. Apart from it hasn’t gone away yet, and I feel like shit anytime I eat anything other than fruit & veg basically.
Right now, my green smoothies are getting me through.
