A Rite of Passage for Wild Rose Path

A death, a rebirth.

The last few months have seen a sort of birth and rite of passage for Wild Rose Path. It’s been slowly coming into reality. I’ve started a business from scratch before, and it grew in a fairly straightforward way – i followed the ‘rules’ , the strategies, all the logical stuff. This works for a cleaning business. I ended up taking on staff, and then it got to that point – the point where you know you need to step into the next level of something. It was getting like a toddler with no rules. Step in, or step out.

As much as I enjoyed the abundance flowing in, being my own boss, it didn’t feel right. And then the very nice life that looked very good from the outside and impressive to other people, burnt to the ground. And I burnt out. And that was when I realised that I could not continue on the path I was on.

Something was stirring, calling within, but back then I wasn’t tuned in enough to really listen to it. Except when life burnt down, more than once, as it does. There have been a few points in life like that, when just for a minute, a day, you hear it. Or feel it. A knowing, something familar that your logical brain cannot interpret and send you the details on. But when you’re young, it soon gets buried again amongst the distractions and demands of everyday life.

I kept having these moments, and 10-12 years ago, I nearly made it. The calling was there again and I started following it. But as I realise looking back, there was a fork in the path. There was continuing on, following the whispers, or the other way, which was having a family. I was trying to walk somewhere down the middle of the two paths, wanting both – but that wasn’t the plan.

During this time, there were a lot of signs, and equally a lot of warnings. I chose the path of family, thinking I knew what lay ahead, prepared for certain outcomes. But I walked in completely blind and disconnected from myself. So, of course, life burnt down to the ashes again, but this time the rebuild was rapid.

Sometimes we get so stuck in this linear way of thinking – it will take this long to get from A to B, I should have done A B and C by this point… but we underestimate the actual speed that reality can shift when we hold a version of ourselves and choose to become it.

And it could have worked out very differently, looking back.

Early motherhood pushes us deep into survival mode. For me there was definetely no room for elaborate rituals, time to myself, or any point where I could really connect with my inner self…besides, I didnt even know who the fuck that was anymore. The idea of the mother I was in my head, turned out not to be the mother that I am.

So here we are. The kids are older. I wandered out the fog and put the pieces of this person together. Not the same person as before. Sober. Understanding how my brain works now through learing how my eldest daughter’s works, having not realised for many years it was being mirrored back to me. Cracked open by the spiritual experiences of birth and death.

And the calling started whispering again. It looks like the two paths have weaved their way back together now. And it made a new path – Wild Rose Path.

And over the last few months, it became clear that the version of myself walking ahead on that path is not the version of myself that I have been even in the last year, the last 3 months even.

This time, the structure of life has not burnt to the ground. But the beliefs, the narratives, the values of my old self are having a good old purge. My nervous system literally feels like its getting an upgrade (yes, I have physically felt this on occasion!). I’ve found places online, teachers, books, to support this stepping into a new frequency. And on occasion, kindered spirits in face to face life too who ‘get it’ (you know who you are!)

Because honestly – most people don’t get it. Yet. I can’t tell most people I commune with plant spirits, a skill I’ve recently relearnt from childhood, thanks to the Green Arte’s Wortcunning course. Of how through doing the inner work, through sitting in the dark, you find the parts of yourself that are missing, and know it’s time to call them back. Of how it suddenly dwindles in importance of what people think of you, of getting off the fence, of speaking your own truth, even if it’s got training wheels on. Of having what I can only describe as ‘downloads’ where a knowing is unlocked and conscious brain does not yet get the invite (These are always in the kitchen for me when im cooking!)

And slowly, somedays a little quicker, I can feel her stepping into this reality. Into ny being. We hold so many different threads together as our own being, it makes you ponder what ‘I’ actually is.

I’ve been having the same message now for about 6 months or so, that for me and Wild Rose Path, 2025 was about tending the soil, planting the seeds, letting the roots grow, and 2026 will see the potential of things changing in the physical world at a great speed. In my own life i’ve seen this consistently during the years of 2006 and 2016 so there’s a pattern emerging!

So this is where I find myself now — not at a beginning, and not at an ending, but in that liminal place where the path reveals itself one step at a time. Wild Rose Path isn’t something I’m building from the outside anymore. It’s something I’m becoming. And as these pieces knit together, as the roots deepen, I can feel that what’s coming isn’t a reinvention — it’s a remembering.

The next chapter has already begun.
